Title:                                       DAP Family Worker (Full Time, 35 hours/ week)

General Summary:
Family workers provide comprehensive case management, mentoring, advocacy, parent coaching, recreation and social skill development to diverse families and youth. Youth in our program are struggling at home, in school, or in the community.  Caseworkers work collaboratively as a team.  Our mission is to help children remain safely in their homes. Our contract is funded through the Department of Social Services.
 
Qualifications:     
It is preferred that a family worker have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Experience working with families, case management and mentoring are desired. The ideal candidate for this position will have a demonstrated ability to work with disenfranchised families and youth and/or demonstrated ability to work effectively with clientele who are diverse in their race, culture, religion, economic resources, sexual orientation, gender identity, and abilities. Demonstrated initiative, reliability and decision-making skills are needed to excel in this position. A reliable car and driver’s license are required for this position.
Responsibilities:

  • Provides encouragement and support to families who are facing difficult times.
  • Provides coaching and mentorship to young people for a period of 6-9 months at a time.
  • Maintains a caseload of eight families.
  • Responds to a range of families’ needs including flexible scheduling, attendance at various meetings in the home, in the community, and in schools.
  • Demonstrates understanding of our guiding principles including strength-based, family driven work as well as youth development principals and trauma-informed model.
  • Works collaboratively with other community agencies on behalf of families and/or the agency.
  • Participates in regularly scheduled supervision and staff meetings.
  • Maintains records in accordance with our contractual obligations including the Connections computer database and NYS family assessment and service planning.
  • Effectively organizes time and responsibilities.
  • Participates in rotating backup support via on-call phone rotation schedule.
  • Assumes all responsibilities of a mandated reporter.

Title:                  Senior Relationship and Development Director

General Summary: The Senior Relationship and Development Director is responsible to develop, cultivate, strengthen and maintain relationships F&CS has in the community with board members (current and past), volunteers, donors, funders, the media and other community partners and stakeholders. The Senior Relationship and Development Director develops F&CS’s fundraising plan and is responsible for achieving F&CS’s annual fundraising goals; the fundraising goals are accomplished through annual fund giving, major gifts, grant writing, events, corporate sponsorships and planned giving. 

Qualifications: The ideal candidate is results driven, detail focused, organized, engaging, has strong ties to the local community with proven experience effectively managing board and volunteer relationships, and, cultivating new and existing donor relationships.  At least seven years of proven fundraising experience with additional experience in event planning and/or coordination is strongly preferred.  The Senior Relationship and Development Director must possess a Bachelor’s degree however a Master’s degree is preferred.

Position Responsibilities:
• Reports directly to the President and CEO and is a member of the agency’s leadership team
• Oversees the strategic coordination of individual solicitations and relationship cultivation
• Collaborates with Chief Executive and Board Development committee to ensure major donor relationships are being effectively managed and cultivated
• Collaborates with the Chief Executive in coordinating the Board Development and Nominating (and all event) committees
• Coordinates existing fund/ friend-raising events; makes recommendations for new fund/ friend-raising events
• Develops strategy for, and oversees implementation of, all corporate sponsorship solicitations
• Oversees the coordination of all fundraising mailings, which include but are not limited to donor appeals and gift acknowledgements, event save the dates and invitations
• Provides senior leadership over marketing and communications initiatives which include, but are not limited to: the annual report, agency newsletter, website content management, brochure and rack card design and distribution, social media strategy and press releases/op-eds; provides day-to-day supervision to marketing and communications staff
• Researches public and private grant opportunities and directs F&CS’s grant writing efforts
• Facilitates the orientation of all incoming board members; plans annual board retreat
• Oversees the accurate accounting of all unrestricted and restricted income, and its sources
• May be called upon to make program/ project presentations at community events
• Attends community events and external agency meetings as needed
